It grew legs and ran away...

These past two weeks I had two conferences... one in Germany and another in Cairo. However, In the near future there may be a dearth of pictures... on the way to Cairo our new camera grew legs and ran away... bummer....

However, I did get some pics from Cairo from someone else... We had dinner at the Cairo Citadel one night... there was a pretty view from there.

Finally settled on a favorite...

One thing I love about Israel is the abundance of different flowers out here. All over you'll find gardens with tulips, roses, and all the usual ones. Also on the Weizman campus, a large number of the trees are giant flowering trees exhibiting a whole range of flower shapes, sizes, and colors. On top of that, in the spring, all sorts of wild flowers come out in all of the fields. However, I get to walk by my favorite flowers everyday on the way to work. Along a long wall on the side of the path is a vine which has very unique flowers... they were out in the fall, but by the time I got around to taking a picture, there were only two left... and when Anabelle saw that I wanted to take a picture of them, she immediately ran and plucked them off...

Fortunately, a few weeks ago the passion fruit vine bloomed again...

The scientific name is Passiflora edulis and here's a link to more varieties.
